There are sometimes misunderstandings about honor grades by people with no experience of it. We are not saying a person is better than another or worth more than another, just that we hold them in greater respect and perhaps take more notice of their point of view, based on what they do, or commitments to serve members, rather than who they are related to or where they live, or related to work.
Honor grades are not always for life, a person may decide to take on a lesser role and therefore change grades, it is therefore not an accumulation, and has no value to pass on from one person to another.
